KONKAN SERIES:

I want to introduce you all to the Konkan region Before I start writing blogs on different places situated on the majestic Konkan belt, Konkan has inspired me beyond measure.

In June’2017, I took my first Solo trip to Konkan, last I travelled to Konkan was in September’2019, I had to postpone my travel plans because of the COVID-19 Pandemic which resulted in global lock-down.

Everything in Konkan is enchanting, I waited for too long to write about Konkan, I wanted to make sure, what I write will do justice to the actual beauty of the coastal Konkan belt.

I want to settle down in Konkan once this Pandemic is over, the Marathi mulgi in me can’t wait to live in a simple home with rustic interiors near one of Konkan’s beaches, I want to wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore, my tanned skin getting sun-kissed, sea salt and fine sand grains in my hair. Sounds, dreamy right? I’m looking forward to live this dream.

Konkan is not fancy, it’s fantastic on Its own, it doesn’t have a nightlife, it has a vast night sky shining with a million stars, simple and healthy Konkani/malvani food, one article isn’t enough to tell you about the beauty of Konkan.

Rainy seasons at Konkan are the best, the soil of Konkan is blessed with immense natural beauty.

Revdanda, Harihareshwar, Shrivardhan, Ganpatipule, Dapoli, Nivati, Bhogwe, Talashil, Bhandarpule, Malgund, Guhagar, Hedavi, Malvan, Tarkarli, Devbag, Devgad, Kunkeshwar, Sagareshwar, Mithbav, Vengurla, are few of Konkan’s coastal treasures.

I have written a blog on Indian Railways, Konkan rail route being one of my absolute favorites, Konkan rail journeys is one of the major reasons I fell in love with train travels.

In my upcoming blogs, I will be writing in detail about Konkan, I would love to take you on a virtual journey to the most scenic places Konkan has to offer.
