REVIEW: O’NEST NAKSHATRA, GANPATIPULE.

A few months back I took a trip to Ratnagiri, I didn’t have a specific itinerary in mind. I wanted a break from my routine. I started looking for stay options near Ganpatipule and Bhandarpule. Ganpatipule is famous for the Dakshindwar devata temple famously known as Shri Ganpatipule mandir. I last went to Ganpatipule in 2011 with my best friends.

This time while looking for various hotel options I came across O’nest Nakshatra resort, which is a cozy hilltop resort, facing the bhandarpule beach. Bhandarpule Is a clean and beautiful beach and also pretty secluded. After making an inquiry with the reception at O’nest Nakshatra, I finalized my booking.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF O’NEST NAKSHATRA:

My first thought was, that it is better than the pictures on the internet. It is a Spacious and well-maintained property, there is a pretty reception area upon arrival. Just near the reception area is a chess table and carrom table. I was literally playing carrom after so long, it felt really nice. We played till the time of my checkout. I had booked the room just for a day; however, I extended my stay for another day. Yes, the property is that good.

The entire premises is squeaky clean and green. The staff is well-trained. It’s not some random pretentious place. It’s the perfect getaway for families and of course couples. What impressed me is the greenery around. As it is a sea-facing resort, you can see the beach from your room, and also from the restaurant area. For me, the main highlight was the location. (It is sea facing resort, not a spot on the beach, it’s a hilltop resort facing the Bhandarpule beach)

MY FIRST IMPRESSION RATING: 4.5/5

LOCATION:
It’s an easy-to-spot resort, it is well connected to the main road which goes towards Ganpatipule temple. I had no problem finding the resort. So, location wise it is convenient. If just like me you too are planning to come by train you need to travel till Ratnagiri first, and from the station, you can hire an auto-rickshaw. Famous tourist spots like Aare Ware, Ganpati mandir, Kavi Keshavsut Smarak are nearby the O’nest nakshatra resort.

LOCATION RATING: 5/5

DID I LIKE MY STAY AT O’NEST NAKSHATRA?

No, I didn’t like it, because I loved it. The staff is super cool and cooperative, and the rooms are well-lit and spacious, with a cozy seating area. there is a separate seating area outdoors as well, the washrooms are clean and I loved their concept of keeping little plants inside the washroom. Coming to the pool, it is clean and the front yard of the rooms is beautiful and green. I literally sat on the grass to complete my pending work, and that’s also because they provided excellent Wi-Fi connectivity. As usual, nobody knew I was there to review their hotel. I was treated like any other customer, and trust me they treat their customers really well. The purpose of this series is to share my genuine opinions of the places I have been to. In the near future if at all you are looking for stay options you can consider the ones, I have mentioned in my hotel review section.

STAY RATING: 5/5

FOOD AT O’NEST NAKSHATRA:

I live to eat; I love to eat and I’m choosy what I eat. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the free buffet breakfast spread. I wish the spread was bigger as well as tastier. Other than breakfast I loved the food at O’nest nakshatra. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were great, and the food was value for money. The restaurant staff is helpful. For me, both the taste and quality matter and both were just perfect. The chef knew what he was doing, and he did a great job. I tried onion rings, veg Hakka noodles and peppery paneer, veg kofta and roti, kombadi wade, and chicken. The food was excellent, fresh, and mouth-watering.

FOOD RATING: 4/5 (4 because I really didn’t like the breakfast)

WHAT MAKES O’NEST NAKSHATRA STAND OUT?

Everything! The interiors are cool, the staff is well trained, friendly, and cooperative. The view is pleasant. The premises are super clean. The food is delicious. The pool is amazing as well. They offer what they promise. I definitely found this resort value for money. I will visit it again for sure. Also, I will be doing a video on Instagram as well, do check it out. If you are looking for stay options in and around Ganpatipule, do consider staying at O’nest nakshatra I’m sure you will not be disappointed.
